Kerim Basaran is the founder of KB Hospitality Consultancy BV, operating as KBHC International, and brings over 25 years of experience in luxury hospitality across three continents and more than 10 countries, with international leadership roles across luxury hotel brands, including Raffles, Marriott, Hyatt, and Hilton, as well as serving on task force teams in destinations including the Maldives, Seychelles, the Middle East, Europe, and Asia.

A specialist in food and beverage strategy with broad expertise across hotel and mixed-use developments. Kerim’s expertise covers design and development, pre-opening, and project and asset management. His approach is rooted in clarity, commercial discipline, and alignment between development vision and operational reality.

He has done everything from master planning of multi-billion dollar mixed-use development and feasibility studies of proposed luxury hotel projects on remote islands to developing hotel and dining concepts, negotiating franchise and management agreement contracts, and sourcing third-party operators for investors.

Kerim holds an MBA in Tourism and Hotel Management from the Swiss Hotel Management School in Montreux and a Hotel Real Estate Investment and Asset Management certification from Cornell University.
